Caitlin and Derek Disneyland Engagement

Caitlin and Derek met in a very “How I Met Your Mother” sort of way. Over the span of about two years, they had either been at the same show or party four separate times and JUST missed meeting each other. They both work in the entertainment industry, and once even worked on the same show, “Oprah’s Big Give.” They must have walked by each other multiple times on set but never met.  The fifth time was the charm! =)  They met at the Upright Cabaret, a piano bar, hit it off and ended up talking all night!

After exchanging a bunch of emails, I finally had the pleasure of meeting them at a cosy little outdoor Starbucks! And we couldn’t stop excitedly chatting, I was instantly drawn in by her infectious smile and goofy charm. She was just my kind of gal! Typically I meet with couples for half an  hour or so, but I think Caitlin and I happily chatted on and on for at least three hours! =) Time flew by quickly! I knew I would love them almost instantly when then mentioned their love for Disneyland and the Buzz light year the ride. (both Derek and I are veteran Galactic Heros might I add) Disneyland is one of their favorite places to go, so right off the bat, Caitlin mentioned she loved Jenn and Andrew’s Disneyland engagement set and wanted to do their engagement at disneyland as well! =)

Disneyland was definitely the perfect location for these two: romantic, whimsical and fun– throw in a touch of adventure and you got them! We had such a fun time running around disneyland, giggling, chatting and even scarfing down yummy hot dogs! Sometimes I wonder if my job really is a job at all, I get to run around  disneyland, ride a bunch of rides and goof around with my couples!  I’m so excited for your upcoming wedding! (especially the Kogi truck!!) Best idea EVER! YES!

One of my favorite photos! It was super busy that day, and it was impossible to get a clean clear shot on Main Street–so why not use that to our advantage right? hehe I couldn’t bring my tripod in, so I plopped my camera on a trash can to do this long exposure!

Dumbo is one of Caitlin’s favorite rides! She loves the feeling of being a little kid again!

The balloon guy let us borrow them for just a bit! =)

Who knew that smooshing together two cotton candy’s could make such a cute heart! ^^

Best ride EVER!
