Happy three year anniversary to Lisa and Van and also Ellie their adorable “dogder” (dog daugther) The way they met was so cute:

As Lisa described, “We were frenemies.  Our families were close when we were young and we lived in the same neighborhood.  We hated each other.  Thankfully, his family moved to Oregon and he was able to grow up.  :). Our mothers always wanted us to get together, which we both rolled our eyes about.  We became friends again in college when we worked together on an annual church camp.  We started dating before I went to medical school and got married 4 years later before I started residency. ”

I’m sure their mothers are ecstatic that their plans to get them together worked! haha 😀

This particular couple is very special and dear to my heart. Meeting these two was such a huge blessing! First off, they were the first couple to actually find me off yelp! (milestone! yay!) Secondly, the moment after we finish the shoot, we became such great friends! Lisa and Van generously took Gary and I out for a delicious dinner and we all hit it off so well! Lisa and I got to know each other much better and discovered we had so many of the same hobbies! (We even like the same colors!)  The next few weeks were filled with hanging out, baking, and doggy dates! We even discovered we attended the same church!! 😀 My only regret is that I was not able to meet them sooner and now they are moving to Seattle 🙁 🙁  So sad!

Thank you Lisa and Van for your friendship. Gary and I will miss you both so much!  I hope you guys enjoy this delicious musical-picnic-puppy filled set! 😀

you have no idea how EXCITED I was to find this tire swing on a big tree! 😀
