Daphne and Chris shattered my cuteness meter! These two are just such a wonderful mix of silliness, awesomeness and good-looking-ness all swirled together. They met on a missions trip in Hawaii, started dating shortly after and have been together ever since! ^_^ Daphne is absolutely adorable to the max–patient, kind, considerate, and GORGEOUS. And Chris, he has this amazing ability to just make everyone he meets feel at ease around him, he is understandably mr POPULAR and is the master of planning get togethers. I’ve known him since freshman year of high school, we use to swap our collections of sappy love songs and come up with insanely elaborate ideas on how to ask people to prom. =) We went through well the whole roller coaster of high school, together, the drama, the butterflies, the heartbreak, the “My world is ending! Woe is me!” days. Without him, I don’t know how I would have survived those high school days. haha =) I’m sooo happy he met Daphne, such an amazing caring sweet girl ^__^
These two love birds were actually one of my guinea pig couples when I first started in photography. For a fledgling photographer, I really couldn’t have hoped for a more photogenic couple! They made it so easy! Now two years later, they are engaged! And I feel exceptionally honored that of all they picked me to photograph their engagement pictures!
After much brainstorming, we couldn’t decide on just one concept and ended up with two main concepts we wanted to work with for the shoot!
Concept 1: Vintage Sweet– Daphne’s name in Vietnamese means “Cherry Blossom” she had mentioned how it would mean a lot to her parents if we somehow incorporated that into the shoot. We ended up deciding to theme half of the shoot vintage-sweet, incorporating the cherry blossoms, flower fields, orange groves, and all sorts of sappy sweetness!
Concept 2: Smart and Sexy–Daphne and Chris also love to imitate movie posters! Their hilarious imitations always crack me up, I knew I just had to integrate that into their shoot! For this part of the shoot we centered around a Mr and Mrs Smith-esque theme! I spent days googling poses with guns online. =) The BB gun’s that Chris ended up borrowing from a friend looked so real! Out of paranoia, we attempted to hide them every time a someone passed by us just in case! haha

I don’t own any fancy equipment or crazy lighting. But what I do have is a flash, a tripod, and a pair of legs. haha ^^
