Art and Yvonne are probably one of the most chill and hilarious couples I’ve met. Arts always teasing and throwing playful insults at Yvonne, and Yvonne just throws them right back at him causing all three of us to burst out laughing. 🙂 Art and Yvonne seem to be my first for everything! They were one of the first to officially hire me for wedding photography, and now they are the first I’ve officially done a maternity shoot for! 🙂 They are also the first couple to actually choose SUNRISE golden hour over sunset. I was a bit taken back at first, but everything about the morning was perfect: the sunrise was breathtakingly beautiful, the weather was nice and cool, the birds were chirping. It was enough to make me wish all of my couples would want to wake up at 5:30 am to hit the sunrise golden hour.
This particular shoot was very special and nostalgic because we ended up choosing the exact same location that we did their engagement shoot at. Its difficult to tell, because the location looks completely different. When we went for their engagement, the entire location was covered in bright shades of lime green grass, for their maternity shoot it was covered in beautiful golden autumn shades. (which was PERFECT since they mentioned they wanted “autumn shades” for the shoot) They also definitely knew exactly what kind of pictures they wanted, and what they did NOT want. When I asked them to show me some examples, they sent me an email with “yes” pictures, and an email with “no” pictures. I nearly died laughing on the ground looking through their “no” picture choices. hahaha 🙂
Shooting Art and Yvonnes maternity pictures made me realized how blessed I was to maintain such a wonderful relationship with my clients, my friends. 🙂 Its such a privilege to not only see, but also be able to record all their huge milestones : their engagement, their wedding, and now the pregnancy! Thank you so much both of you guys for trusting me to record these precious memories, your confidence in me means more than you can ever know. I can’t wait for our upcoming newborn shoot with baby Roman!
